365Daily – The lmo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the State Governor, Hope Uzodinma of being allegedly responsible for the series of extra-judicial killings across the state.
The opposition party challenged the Governor to account for the killings of innocent citizens in the state.
Chairman of the party, Mr Charles Ugwu, made the allegation at a press conference in Owerri on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
He accused the Governor of failing to address the security issues in the state because he was masterminding them.
Ugwu regretted that prominent sons and daughters of Imo had been killed within a space of one month and the Governor had done nothing about it.
“The go8vernor has to tell us what he knows about the gruesome murder of the Oru-east PDP Youth Leader, as well as that of his friend, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak.
“There is no gainsaying that the Uzodinma-led government lacks the competence and willpower to protect the lives of the people.
“We, therefore, urge the Federal Government to set up a panel to investigate the Governor to find out the root cause of the extra-judicial killings in Imo State.
“Meanwhile, we appeal to all Imolites to remain calm and prayerful in this trying period.”
