Buhari to declare APC Youth Conference open in Abuja

365Daily – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it would hold its first Progressives Youth Conference on 14th of June 2021 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.

A statement issued on Friday, May 7, 2021 by the National Youth Representative/Leader of the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed,  said the conference was approved by the National Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to declare the conference open.

Though the statement did not state how long the conference would last and what the purpose of the conference is, it listed four committees to co-ordinate the event.

They are the Operations and Logistics, the Media committee, the Contact committee and the Organising and Planning committee.

Members of the media committee includes Maiwada Dan Malam, Tolu Ogunlesi, Bashir Ahmad, Segun Dada, Tobi Johannes, Ayo Akanji, Theresa Tekeneh, Maryam Shettima, Philip Obin, Rinsola Abiola, Zarah Gift Onyinye, and Barr. Aliyu Abdullahi. While the Organising and Planning committee includes Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, Fatima Kakuri, Stella Okotete, Hon. Simon Karu Elisha, Abubakar Jibrin Ahmed, Sola Afolayan, Oscar Obi, Umar Mahmood, Joel Ogunsola, and Jamilu Yusuf.
