“And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead; they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil; and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not; I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.”
Genesis 50:15-21 KJV
My fellow pilgrims in the journey of faith, in the process of climbing the mountains of life, we certainly will encounter very hard times. Our legs of faith may be struggling to take the necessary steps.
Life is full of sharp rocks and stones that we have to climb upon to attain our ultimate goals in life.
These rocks and stones are the challenges we face, hurdles erected against our progress, obstacles assigned to restrict our moving forward, opposition assigned to silenced our destiny, antagonism to make us fail and give up on our God given dreams.
Beloved of God, in life, we are going to encounter bumps and terrible rocks. Many of them hurt us, scar us, and leave us sore and bruised. But as believers, we have to see those rocks not in terms of the damage they cause, but as stepping stones to a higher plane of living. Yes, the enemy may intend them to cause us harm, but God will use them for our good.
Brethren in the Lord, do not be discouraged by the jagged rocks you are treading on today. Put them below your feet and use them to propel you to a higher plane of living. Keep your eyes focused on the prize and you will rise above life’s negative circumstances.
Companions in the battlefield of life, instead of focusing on the challenges of life, and diverse rocks on the way of our destiny, the scripture admonished that we should be “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2 KJV
Apostle Paul also said that “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
As you begin to view obstacles as stepping stones to higher ground, then the grace of God to mount up with wings as eagles shall be released upon you. Shalom.
I pray that every stumbling block fashioned against your destiny be overthrown by the finger of God and Holy Ghost fire in Jesus name, Amen.
I pray that the Lord will rearrange your stubborn pursuers to make mistakes for your elevation by fire in Jesus name, Amen.
