365Daily – It appears President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to snub his wife, Aisha Buhari’s public presentation of her new book which is scheduled to hold next week.
The book, which is titled, ‘Aisha Buhari: Being Different’, would be presented on April 8, 2021, at the Conference Centre, State House, Abuja.
The event, according to the invitation card distributed by the office of the First Lady, is expected to host the top echelon of the business community and the cream of the political class in the nation.
Barring any last minute change of plans, President Buhari, who is currently in London for medical reasons, would miss the book event, which would be chaired by former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu has been in the news lately for his rumoured investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The previous cordial relationship between him and the President has also be called to question, as a result of recent developments that seemingly suggest the contrary.
President Buhari is not expected back in the country until the second week in April, according to an earlier statement by his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, on Monday, March 29, 2021, when he announced the president’s trip.
The invite for the event sighted by 365Daily, indicates that 11 people would be book presenters on the day.
They include Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia, Arthur Eze, Abdusamad Rabiu and Bola Shagaya.
Others are Femi Otedola, Muhammadu Indimi, Kessington Adebutu, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo and Senator Daisy Danjuma.
The richest woman in Africa, Mrs Folorunso Alakija, would be the Special Guest of Honour.
