Former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has debunked the rumour that he is likely to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) saying all those who thought he was insinuating such idea must be living in another world.
Fayose made this known in a media chat on Monday, March 1, 2021 when he spoke on some national issues. He said, “Anybody who thinks Ayodele Fayose Peter will join APC is in another world”.
On the power tussle between him and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Fayose maintained that Makinde cannot be his leader, because he was the same person that handed over flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Makinde and so he (Fayose) remains the leader of PDP in the Southwest.
“Can you say that Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the leader of APC in Lagos? Or Can Akinwumi Ambode be the leader of APC in Lagos over Bola Ahmed Tinubu? It is not possible. So there is no way Makinde can be my leader in the Southwest”, he said.
