A makeup artiste and beauty products dealer, @QueenYetty1_, on Wednesday, February 25, caused an uproar on Twitter after describing women whose husbands order food online as failed wives.
She said it was a sign that a married woman has failed in living up to her responsibilities if her husband starts to order food and urged women to brace up and treat their husband as their sole responsibility.
“If your husband starts ordering foods online…. You’ve failed as a wife,” she tweeted, thereby opening an avalanche of responses.
One of such responses came from Nefertiti @ Chriskata1, who said the poster could make such a statement because she was used to suffering.
She tweeted: ”Please just have sense; this is not about Gen Z but about common sense. You all are used to so much suffering, that giving your spouse a break or giving yourself a treat is a big deal. BREATHE!”
Another respondent, Cruise ‘n Muse @Temidayo_10, added, ”So my wife should die of stress because she doesn’t want to fail as a woman? Whenever she doesn’t feel like, I will or we order. No be only her go fail, we fail together.”
Abiola Dosunmu @cute_abby also had a reply for the poster. She tweeted, ”Story!!! Aunty, you better wake up, there is no medal for best wife or hardworking wife. When you let stress take over you and you look haggard, he will look for a fresh girl to date or marry. This life na one, enjoy it.”
However, Ngwongwo Ogu @AguUgbajah supported the poster by saying she said the real truth.
”I know so many ”woke” ladies will come for your head but you said the real truth. A husband can make occasional food order though to spice up the marriage or help out the wife,” he tweeted.
