The authorities of the Federal Government College, Keffi in Nasarawa State have taken a concrete measures to ensure strict compliance to Covid-19 protocols just as the school resumes.
Based on that, the school has provided all the necessary facilities and manpower to ensure compliance by both students and teachers as well as non-teaching staff and even the visitors right from the first entry point of the college.
The principal, Alhaji Ahmed Isa made the disclosure to newsmen who visited the college to see for themselves the level of preparedness the college is making to ensure compliance to the covid-19 protocols.
He stated that all the necessary measures were adequately taking as a nurse was stationed permanently at the gate to take temperatures of those entering the premises as well as wash hand basin, soap and hand sanitizers were also provided.
On whether they were able to build an isolation center within the school as directed by the federal government, the principal said, “All the covid-19 protocols were put in place as you can see for yourself. The one that we are trying to do is the isolation center, but it requires a lot of money to equip it and we don’t have such money. We are waiting for the government because they said they will help in that regard”.
On the issue of how students will abide by the protocols, the principal stated that the college has taken concrete measures to ensure that they comply and observe the protocols adding that the college has also taken steps to ensure social distancing amongst the students in both their classes and hostels.
