President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, January 5, took to his official Twitter handle, @MBuhari to announce his meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on the successes recorded so far in the implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP).
Buhari twitted, “The Vice President briefed me on the progress so far in the implementation of our Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP). We’re supporting artisans and small businesses with grants and salaries; we will also be delivering low-cost houses to Nigerians, as well as Solar Home Systems”.
The president said he was pleased with the progress, appreciating key stakeholders including ministries and agencies especially the Central Bank of Nigeria. He promised to scale up intervention programmes to cushion the effects of the world dreaded covid-19.
“I am pleased to note that we are making progress, with the support of all the key stakeholders, including Ministries, the various Agencies, and the Central Bank of Nigeria. We will continue to scale up our interventions, and ensure we cushion the economic impact of the pandemic”, Buhari stated.
