We are grateful to God for helping us to cross into this new threshold. Today we will look at;
The Force of
C O N T I N U I T Y
Acts 26:22,
“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great…”
Everybody has a desire to do something, no matter how small.
It is either a desire to open new business; start a project; begin learning a skill; and so on.
Though knowing when and how to begin may be a problem due to many competing factors on the way to actualising such desires.
But a greater problem is starting or initiating something, and then no energy or willingness to continue in that line.
Continuity is a serious matter in building blocks of life that eventually serve as platform for moving higher on the ladder of success and greatness.
Continuity is a process of sustaining focus and consistency in what is being done, to guard against interruption, disconnection and discontinuity.
It is a very strong force that has capacity to push you higher in pursuit and assist in getting you to the top, in any endeavour.
No wonder Jesus, a profound leader who ever lived said;
“No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62
Starting something head on; and then contemplate dropping, or draw back on it is a serious breach of the law of continuity. When you lack continuity, you can not attract serious supporters, investors, potential customers, ministry or life’s partners.
Starting is not much of a problem , but continuing! When you start something, keep at it. Be courageous to damn the consequence of doubt, fear, frustration, money, competitors or mischief makers. Never fail because of them.
Proverbs 24:10
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
That you have even started an idea, business, ministry or a project; is an indication that you were never afraid to take a risk in the first place.
Keep weathering the storm. The cloud is about to get clearer for you, and the sun will rise and shine on you soon; only if you persist!
In Nehemiah 5:16
” Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work.”
Nehemiah was focused. He was not drifting. He kept at what he was doing. He was pursuing another thing that appears good, while he still had one thing in his hand. So,

irrespective of daunting challenges.

No matter what people around you are saying.
# Continue –
In spite of initial ‘failure’, stumbling,
# Continue –
Don’t mind how long you have been on it.
If Isaac Newton, Benson Idahosa, Robert Schullar, Aliko Dangote, Bill Gate, John Momoh, Abraham Lincoln, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Mike Adenuga, Charles Awuzie, Nelson Mandela and other great achievers had giving up early in the pursuit of their desire, dream, invention or purpose; they won’t be who they are today or where they got to in the way they touched lives and humanity.
Keep your focus and determine to tarry long on what you are doing. Don’t give up! Keep doing what you are doing. It may not be perfect yet; your continuity will offer you new knowledge to make it better and perfect eventually.
Sometimes, result doesn’t manifest on time until God and people see how consistent you are with what you are doing. Be steadfast.
Keep working. Keep praying. Paul said, “Continue in prayer…” (Colossians 4:2).
So hang on.
Someone, somewhere, someday, somehow is taking note of your consistency and exploits.
In this year 2021, receive grace to continue in your pursuit, in Jesus.
