The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Mr Abdullahi Candido, has admonished Christian faithful to imbibe the spirit of peace and love for one another as they celebrate Christmas.
Candido, in his Christmas message, described the season as a period where the virtues of Jesus Christ must be demonstrated by all.
“I want to use this medium to wish our Christian faithful in the area council a very happy Christmas.
“Christmas is a period where the virtues of Jesus Christ ought to be demonstrated by all citizens as Jesus Christ lived and died for us.
“Because of this, we must do everything possible to emulate Him so that the world can be peaceful.

“It is my appeal that to residents to eshrew bitterness, live with one another, love one another and live in accordance to Christendom,” he said.
On the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic, Candido called on residents to comply with the COVID-19 protocols as they go about their celebrations.
He added that facemasks must be worn at all times and other directives must be strictly complied with, to prevent the spread of the virus.
