Edo State Head of Service, Mr Anthony Okungbowa, who was kidnapped on Saturday in the state, has regained freedom.
Okungbowa was abducted by gunmen along Oza Road in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state, on his way to Benin, the state capital.
According to a family source, the HoS was released by his abductors on Monday but his driver and Police orderly died of gunshots wound inflicted by the gunmen.
Okungbowa was set free after ransom demanded by his kidnappers was paid, a family source disclosed, though the amount paid as ransom was withheld.
According to him, the ransom was paid by his family and the state government.
