Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has felicitated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all winners in Saturday’s bye-elections.
In a press statement signed by the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Lanre Lasisi on Sunday, Gbajabiamila said the victories reaffirmed the popularity of the party and signifies a vote of confidence the people have in the APC and its candidates.
He also expressed particular felicitations to the Lagos State APC and its candidates for the Lagos East Senatorial district and that of Kosofe State Constituency II, Tokunbo Abiru and Obafemi Saheed respectively.
The Speaker noted that it was the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who led the party to victory in the state.
While arguing that the APC is the best political party in Nigeria, Gbajabiamila urged all winners to be magnanimous in victory as that is the hallmark of APC as a party.
The statement added that the lawmaker also urged Nigerians to continue to support the APC “as it is the only party that seeks to make the lives of the citizens better despite global challenges.”
